RULES
1.    The following rules (“Specific Rules”) together with the general competition terms and conditions (which can be found at https://www.heart.co.uk/terms-conditions/) (the “Competition Terms and Conditions”) of Global (as defined in the Competition Terms and Conditions) apply to the ‘Secure Your Seat’ radio competition (the “Competition") which will run from Tuesday 5th January 2021 to Friday 22nd January 2021 on the Heart Network (the “Radio Station”).
2.    Anyone who enters the Competition (an “Entrant”) will be deemed to have read and accepted the Specific Rules and the Competition Terms and Conditions and will be bound by them.  

DETAILS OF THE COMPETITION:
3.    To enter the Competition an Entrant must go online to the Competition entry page at https://www.heart.co.uk and register their details.
4.    Online entry will open at 00:01 on Tuesday 5th January and close at 08:00 on Wednesday 20th January 2021.
5.    By taking part in this Competition you agree the following:
a.    An Entrant agrees to join a video call between themself, members of their family and/or friends and Heart Breakfast. The Entrant gives permission for Heart to record the call. The Entrant consents to Heart sharing the recording, in whole or in part, online at www.heart.co.uk, on its social media platforms and on air. The Entrant acknowledges that the recording will contain the imagery and full names of participants in the call, including their own. 

b.    The Entrant confirms they are responsible for and have obtained the consent of this activity from all participants in the video call, including the consent of the parent(s) and/or legal guardian(s) of any participants under the age of 18.

Secure Your Seat – Monday 11th January 2021 – Thursday 21st January 2021
6.    Each weekday from Thursday 7th January to Tuesday 19th January 2021 at 15:00, and on Wednesday 20th January 2021 at 08:00, 10 entries will be selected at random from all eligible registrations.

7.    Each day between 11/01/21 and 21/01/21 the Heart Breakfast team will hold  video Zoom calls with these 10 Entrants. 

8.    In the Heart studio a producer will randomly assign a suitcase to each of the 10 Entrants before the Competition round.
9.    On air a Heart presenter will be blindfolded in front of the 10 suitcases. The presenter will then pick a suitcase at random, the Entrant who was assigned that suitcase will become the winner and will win that day’s prize as well as a place in The Final, which will take place on the 22nd January 2021. 
10.    If any Entrants fail to answer the call on the morning of the Competition, that Entrant’s assigned suitcase will be removed. This will happen for each Entrant who fails to answer the call.
11.    Entrants must be available for video calls between 06:30-12:00 each day between Friday 08th January 2021 and Friday 22nd January 2021. A reasonable timeframe will be given by the producer and practice calls will be required.

12.    All Entrants selected to play on air will be required to talk to the presenter(s) via video call and the conversation will be recorded and played on-air. If the caller fails to answer a video call from Global, is driving at the time of the call and is unable to pull over, cannot continue the call for any reason or the video connection line is not of a suitable quality for broadcast (at the discretion of the producer) the call may be terminated.
Choosing the last finalist - Friday 22nd January 2021 
13.    On Friday 22nd January 2021 a final Entrant will be selected by text entry.
14.    To enter the Competition an Entrant must send a text message with a keyword to 82122 (the “Text Message Line”). The keyword and the opening and closing times of the Text Message Line will be given out on air. 
15.    Text messages will be charged at standard network rates. 
16.    An Entrant will be selected at random from all eligible entries received and will win that day’s prize plus a place in The Final on the same day.
17.    If listeners text outside this entry period, they will not be entered but may still be charged. Global Radio is not responsible for any latency experienced by your mobile phone network, which may delay the delivery of your text message to us. 
18.    All Entrants selected to play on air will be required to talk to the presenter(s) and the conversation may be recorded and played on-air. If the caller fails to answer a return call from Global, is driving at the time of the call and is unable to pull over in time, cannot continue the call for any reason or the phone line is not of a suitable quality for broadcast (at the discretion of the producer) the call may be terminated and another Entrant selected at random.
19.    Entrants must be available for a video call that morning (22/01/21) for the final.

The Final – Friday 22nd January 2021
20.    Heart Breakfast will have all 10 finalists on a video call.
21.    Each finalist will be assigned a single numbered seat from a group of seats on either a real plane or a staged set up of a plane. On air a Heart presenter will be blindfolded and will then choose and clearly identify a winning seat (but may sit in the adjacent seat). The Entrant representing the chosen seat will win 10 Jet2holidays as listed below.
22.    In addition to the holiday prize they have previously won, each runner up from The Final will receive a pair of return flights to a single Jet2.com destination from any UK Jet2.com departure airport. 
23.    If any Entrant fails to answer the call on the morning of the Competition, that Entrant’s assigned seat will be removed. This will happen for each Entrant who fails to answer a call.

ELIGIBILITY:

109.    On Friday 22nd January 2021 Heart Breakfast will hold The Final. The 9 winning Entrants from the Secure Your Seat Competition and the final text entry winner will be playing. One Entrant will win the 10 holidays below.
110.    The winner will need to supply name and contact details of the Lead Passenger for each of the holidays they wish to transfer to friends and family by the 12th February 2021. After this date there can be no changes to the names of Lead Passengers.

No optional flight/ board/ accommodation/ transfer supplements are included in the prize and these must be paid for by the winner at the time of booking for all the travelling party.  Travel insurance is not included. Winners are advised to take out their own insurance. 

196.    Each Flight prize must be taken by the prize winner (who must be over the age of 18) along with their selected travel companions, subject to the maximum number of passengers specified within the applicable prize details. 197.    Prize flights are limited on the flights operated by Jet2.com and may be unavailable even if there is general availability on a particular flight.  Prize flights must be taken between the following dates:

205.    Flights may not be exchanged for cash and are non-transferable. Once you have booked your flight[s], you cannot change the booking. 

206.    All passengers must have a valid passport to travel, and must meet all relevant visa and/or other entry requirements. 

207.    Where Jet2.com makes any changes to the flights or dates of travel, no compensation or cash equivalent will be available. Jet2.com will not be liable for any cancellations or changes to the prize draw or the prizes, or for any loss or damage entrants or passengers suffer as a result of entering the prize draw provided that nothing in these terms shall exclude or limit the liability of Jet2.com in relation to personal injury or death caused by Jet2.com's negligence or for fraud.

Can you say something more about it? How did it work? Did the call you on your mobile and then you had to join the meeting on Zoom or something or did they call you over the Zoom/ I've never used zoom so I am not familiar with it, and it is better to know, just in case

So mobile called on Wednesday to be around for a single call Thursday to talk. Answered and had chit chat making sure I knew how the competition was going to go. Basically show up Friday 6:30am and join 9 other people in a Zoom call with someone giving you updates when to be ready, then Jamie Theakston does hit bit and a song comes on then Amanda says hi too and you're live and they talk to 1 or 2 people then pick the winner (It went very quick I didn't even manage to see Amanda pick the winner as I was viewing 4 cams instead of gallery haha).

Then the winner gets a bit of cam time and the rest leave the chat.
