Spin bike

Hi All

I’m keen to purchase a home spin bike and have found a couple of body max bikes on powerhouse fitness that are my top choice.

They range between £350-£450. I have a 10% discount code to reduce it down, but I’ve seen that this time last year the same bikes were under £250.

So the question is, given gym closures with covid is it worth waiting to see if they are reduced at some point soon or is it unlikely this year?

Prices of home fitness equipment are not going down in the near future as gyms not available. Supply and demand says prices in the near future will only be going up IMO so I would get in ASP if I was you

However, do you need to buy new as bet there are plenty of really good deals for used kit via ebay/Gumtree/Facebay etc based on the funds you have avaiilable? If you want new then fine but don't let a money off voucher/code for new keep you from looking at used bargains that may be out there.
  • Thank you I took your advice and have bought one today, and actually one of the bikes I was considering is now unavailable so there’s definitely a lot of demand as you say!

    best spin bike
I’m thinking about getting an indoor best spin bike to use during the cold winter months, anybody else uses one to keep in shape during the winter? If so, what brand and why you like it. There are so many out there and a large range in pricing. I’m looking at the Kaiser M3I, but wow.... don’t know if I want to spend that much on a clothesline......lol.
    Any help will be appreciated...

I find the best part of spin class is the fact it is the group class, so there is motivation from the crowd. I think I'd find spinning very hard to be motivated for at home alone.  For that reason, if I were to buy a spin bike for home, I'd look at the Peloton products as the video class is the next best thing.  They are frightfully expensive though.  I'll stick to the actual spin classes.
