Hello,
I am in the process of applying for financing for a medical procedure.

What I wanted to know was if anyone had any insight into these types of applications.

What I'm interested in knowing is are they easier to get than a standard loan?
It is a company which solely deals with medical financing.

Also the loan would be made directly to the treatment company.

Thank you.

What would a poster who has insight into the applications do for you ?
You apply and either your accepted or declined.

Maybe the fact it goes direct to the firm supplying the treatment means its easier to be accepted.
  • The purpose of a loan should have no bearing on the application as long as it is legal and the lender is happy to proceed with that purpose.

Not sure that is fully true generally speaking but even less so in this case where it appears to be tied finance.

I have certainly seen commercial agreements where the merchant assumes some of the default risk with the finance company in exchange for more lenient lending. An associate not that long ago got knocked back for a home improvement loan at 15% APR however was accepted for a 0% finance on a brand new kitchen and furniture for on paper the same value and with the same banking group when it was applied for via the merchant.
  • I'd be wary if the loan goes direct to the medical company. Can't whatever it is be done on the NHS at some point in the future?
  • Id be very wary about having a non urgent medically required procedure during these times

Doesnt it sound like cosmetic surgery to you? Most the "Harley Street" clinics offer finance on their boob jobs etc.
