Stinky silicone

I've somehow managed to taint all my silicone lids with the stench of a curdito ferment. Even ones that were nowhere near the offending Kilner jar seal. I suspect the odour is lingering in nooks and crannies of the dishwasher. Ive cleaned the dishwasher several times but the odour carries on giving. I dare not use any of the lids and putting them in the dishwasher simply seems to recycle the taint. Does anyone have any suggestions before I have to bin the lot? I have tried soaking in bleach. I'm beginning to think that silicone cookware is over rated due to its odour retaining habit.

I would like to know this too as I've got a similar problem, I stored a batch of homemade sweet chilli sauce in a jar and even though it never touched the seal, it reeks of chilli & garlic .I hadn't realised until I re-used the jar for storing condensed milk which promptly took on the flavour and had to be binned. I've not got a dish washer but I've tried boiling, soaking in bleach, covering in bi-carb, leaving out in the fresh air for a week & also freezing overnight but it still honks!0

I wonder if soaking in white vinegar would help? Just a thought
