  • That's great news well done. You must be so pleased to know that it's just the one card on 0% and the loans. What are the interests on the loans like? Are you in a position to be able to pay the card off before end of the 0%? That's what about £335 a month? Or will you be doing another balance transfer do you think?

  • Thanks @Aspiration
Thanks @Sarahwithlove both loans are just over 13% so my plan (which has taken some time to settle on as I keep changing my mind due to being impatient haha) is to pay the smaller loan of £2,870 off as quickly as possible which will hopefully be in 4 months if I'm really strict & tighten my belt but knowing I will be another debt down is spurring me on!
If I manage to do this I will be paying the minimum on the CC but will then over pay with the monthly surplus & catch up on the CC payments once I am down to 1 Loan & 1 CC so that I still pay it off in the 14 months, then I will just have the 1 big Loan with Halifax left which I absolutely hate with a passion due to the interest so hoping to get this moved to a smaller APR loan at some point but don't want to extend the length of the loan so wrestling with my conscience on knowing what to do for the best with this one as want the debt gone asap even if it is painful for the next year will be worth it!
I still haven't had my review with work so no idea if I will be getting a salary increase yet (which will help lower the debt quicker) but have been asked to help in another role due to someone leaving so hoping once trained this can become a permanent fixture as will most definitely lead to a salary increase & better career perspectives long term so fingers crossed it works out that way!
  • Could you do it over a longer period but overpay it so it's close to the original time scale.
