E: 06/01 Win a luxurious break for two in the Cotswolds
Sunday Times Where Was I? competition
The prize:
The winner and guest will stay for two nights, B&B, at the Painswick, the 18th-century, ochre-stoned pile that’s now a laid-back but luxurious hotel. Set in the historic centre of a Cotswolds village, it mixes a sense of town and country with an easy, attentive charm. There are wellies to borrow in the porch, manhattans on tap at the bar and fireside sofas to sink into whenever you come back from a walk. Upstairs the 16 bedrooms range from Snug to Palladian, while in the restaurant the chef Jamie McCallum focuses on big flavours and local produce — everything from homemade bread to Cotswolds lamb and Evesham asparagus.
The prize includes one three-course dinner for two (excluding drinks) and must be taken between February 1 and December 18, 2021, subject to availability and excluding Valentine’s Day weekend, bank holidays and March 27 to April 11.
