Please can someone help please
I've just cashed in a private pension
The pension pot was£ 27168.80
The figures they gave me are tax free £6792.20
Balance to tax £20376.60
Tax deducted £7450.30
Reamaing balance £12926.30
I received a cheque for £19718.50
I get £7500 per year company pension
And annual salary is about £20000
Have I paid too much tax on this pension please many tks
It does say on the letter I might have paid too much

Yes.Based on what you have posted the actual tax due is likely to be £4075.
So you have paid £3375 too much.
Will be a smaller refund if you Scottish resident for tax purposes in the current tax year.0 -
They use an emergency tax code as it is a one off payment . You will have to claim back the excess tax taken.0
