Long time indeed. Glad to see you all. 

I rarely check in, but always glad to see this thread still chugging away. It's a great help to so many. 
Nearly 15 years for me without a drink, however I still need to work at it and not be complacent. I believe that my alcoholism is a patient sniper, waiting for me to let my guard down. I don't know what the future holds but I'm not having a drink today, and that's a great day in sobriety.

How good to 'meet' you graeme. Another returner😀. Fifteen years without a drink! You must have been one of the very earliest contributors. As you say this thread chugs on and has helped so many people. I am grateful for it and have gone from being a very heavy daily drinker to a very occasional one. I might have done it by myself but I don't think so.

21 for today please. 

Going to be entering my last week on Monday which is a bit daunting knowing I’ll be back home soon enough. Back to the temptation but hopefully this time I will have the tools not to relapse again and will finally make moves to be rid of some people in my life and business that aren’t doing me any favours. Although I take full responsibility for my actions and choices, I need to move on from some people that are negatively impacting my life. 

Apt to see ‘I don’t know what the future holds’, reminder to all of us re living in the present day; lot of that where I am rn but I struggle to do that on the ‘outside’. Appreciate I’m lucky to be here and amongst the surroundings I have, could be a lot worse and tbh I recognise it’s a place of privilege dread to even think what this is like to go through for others who don’t have the same opportunity. Anyhow, still exercising everyday, meditating and doing well. My wife has embraced the support extended too which she didn’t last time, I am grateful and hopeful.
