Giving Up/Cutting Down Alcohol Thread Part 17

I've been thinking about dry January but I think that is just setting myself up to fail. I came on here in November with a hell of a hang over and an awareness I was hammering the bottle with friends and drinking alone. Since being here I've been more aware and I've cut down and had many AF days. I will probably drink tonight and for the next two nights but I've exceeded my December target so I'm happy.
For January I'm going to be kind to myself. Rather than say I'll do a dry January I'm going to set myself a target (thinks) of 24 days.Made it to mortgage free but what a muddle that became
In the event the proverbial hits the fan then co-habitees are better stashing their cash than being mortgage free !!4 -

10/10 for me - declaring now to keep me on track for the evening. Just enjoying an AF G&T.
ETA - I'm going to be doing a morning Olio collection on New Year's Day so staying sober on NYE is even more appealing as I have to drive early the next morning!3 -
hi Dexsmummy
and welcome
I've added you to the list, best of luck with the challenge!

Hmm, been pondering an annual target and struggled to see what next year looks like. Can I set a provisional target of 250 and then amend it later if necessary? I'm hoping for more but I don't want to set myself up to fail and having a high target which is unachievable or that I need to revise down will be counter-productive for me.3
