25/25 AFDs today and 235 AFDs for 2021 so far.4

Thank you as always cathybird for keeping our scores. Some really great totals this month.I have made it to 30/29 so September has been an AF month. So far my year looks like this:
May, June, August & Sept have all been completely alc’ free months.
In each month of January, March & July I drank on just one occasion.
In Feb and April I drank on two occasions each month. That makes just seven occasions in total so far this calendar year that I’ve drank, last year it was 20 times so hopefully I’m on course to do something similar.5 -
Good morning everyone,
12 please Cathy

Calling in early as it's the last day of the month. Finishing September on 30/21 please cathybird. Thank you. X5 -
Hi all, 30/29 - BOOM! 179 AFDs so tomorrow will be "One hundred and EIGHTY!"
After too long of drinking sometimes a tad too much, now I really can't see the point. Maybe because I have nobody to share with - for some people it works the other way round. But that's life. (Philosophical point there). But as I said before, 179 in a row and don't want to go back to zero. Now a gainfully employed bassist again - WooHoo!5 -
Hi Cathybird
I'm also calling in 30/29
.
Have a good Thursday everyone. Have a stonking headache so am going to finish work on time today.
That's the problem with WFH, it's so easy to deal with one more email, then another etc and before I know, it's after 8pm.
See you all in October

I actually have something to celebrate at last - which makes it sound as though life has been bad, which it hasn't, it's just that it's stayed quite housebound and lockdowney and same-as, even though restrictions were lifted back whenever. I have handed in my notice at work and am taking early retirement. When I say early, it's not too early to access my pensions, but it's still a fair bit earlier than usual. I've got enough to retire on now, and I must say most of that is down to MSE, where I've been a member since 2006, 15 years now, and I have totally turned my life around as a result, financially but also healthwise. In fact if I hadn't found MSE I would probably still be drinking way too much and heavily in debt! So I think glasses will probably be raised to this next step in my life sometime in October, when an outing with friends is planned (glasses being raised is now a rare treat). I don't finish till December but am soooo looking forward to it. I have been doing my job too long, and it has become very routine, and I really want to have space and time and the freedom to get on with my own stuff. So I'm happy!8
