Giving Up/Cutting Down Alcohol Thread Part 17

  • I'm up to 19 for the month which is amazing for me.  And I'm enjoying it.  I'm enjoying being clear headed during the weekend and knowing that I can remember everything.

I am tempted for tonight which is the issue.  I don't go mad at the weekends, but drink more than what is recommended.

I know it would just be an easier decision to just give up altogether as then I wouldn't have this quandry of "should I?  shouldn't I?"
Pink Sproglettes born 2008 and 2010
    Mortgages (End 2017) - £180,235.03
    (End 2021) - £131,215.25 DID IT!!!
    (End 2022) - Target £116,213.81
  • I drank heavily on Wednesday night and paid the price with a hideous hangover yesterday. AF last night although I nearly drank more in the evening as hair of the dog. So I still made 11 but not until yesterday.

AF plan for Monday - Thursday to still hit my target of 15 in September. That will take me to an annual figure of 100. I'm about a month behind and a monthly target of 16.66 for the rest of the year. Still a lot better than many years at this pont. Onwards and upwards.

Thanks for the mention @Lupus_Lou although I never feel it is really that well deserved as I start with such a low target compared to most 😉 - it is just that a low target works for me as I know when I set it higher and failed to reach it I get very demoralised
I feel the same @sukeyboo. I sort of treat my 10 as a floor target and know I'll be satisfied if I reach it but fully intend to exceed it whenever I can. I've done really well this year but that's mainly through lack of eating out during the pandemic.

  • Hi everyone
    Cathybird,  I'm now 24/29

I live around 1/4 mile from a petrol station, they're queuing back to my place and even further down. The petrol station is on a junction and the whole area has ground to a halt.
I can't wait until they run out.
