Spendless More things beginning with M - magnum (of Prosecco or wine or the ice cream!!), magnifying glass, mango, magnet
Ah, I’d wondered if DS’s initial was Z - fully understand as not a lot of things begin with that letter.A good life is when you assume nothing, do more, need less, smile often, dream big, laugh a lot, and realise how blessed you are.

PRINCESSKITTY yay to your new approach, sometimes we need a bit of a meltdown to let the tension out. Wiggle will be fine. Now I’m going to ask you a question and I need an honest answer. When you read the new thread title to yourself, in your head did you follow it with ‘turn it up Dave, I love Chris Rea’?🤣🤣It's the most wonderful timeof the year :4

Princesskitty - I agree not worth being stressed about. I give thanks most days that I'm not trying to teach my two kids younger selves! And don't worry where wiggle is academically. 2 from my school year became millionaires, yes top set kids but not the absolute 'high flyer' and the person who was, was, well sadly they have been ill since their early 20s and have never worked. Plus you can excel at something that isn't necessarily on the school curriculum. My daughter had huge school issues at 15, attended 3 different schools in yr11 and weeks with no education, had to take reduced number of GCSEs because of it. Last year she got into the National Youth Theatre, did an audition today with them for the first time since joining and got very positive feedback. You never know where their talents will lie, whatever their difficulties4

Another “M” suggestion : Music. Could you download onto a memory stick the singles which were on the top ten in the charts for the week she was born?4

Hugs to everyone that needs one. Princess kitty your doing your best, don’t forget To look after yourself too.My family are hoping to have Christmas dinner around Easter time, my mum got a turkey joint reduced in Iceland and the date is ok for this Christmas. I’m thinking of having a display on fireplace for each season/event. I’m trying to find some battery lights to hang off fireplace but can’t find any I like. I keep up all year round battery lights in kitchen, hallway and bedroom. My parents have done the same kept their hall Christmas lights up all year round. I think they brighten people’s mood when you see them.I think everyone is finding this third lockdown hard mentally, I know I am. But I’m trying to stay busy. I’ve got loads of books to read, joined a Weekly women’s book club on zoom that lasts 12 weeks.4

Well when I went to work yesterday afternoon in the pouring rain I never expected that I would be walking home in the snow. Hope everyone is safe with the bad weather, know there are floods too so hope no one here is affected too badly.
Mother in Law decided that the cardi we got her at Christmas was too big and she wanted it swapping. As it was a sale item from well before Christmas I just asked her to find what she wanted instead and ordered that. I will keep the cardi it'll keep me lovely and cosy

Storkie Taz is desperate for snow but its not often we get any thing more than a few light flurries/light dusting- he was so excited xmas day as it started to snow but it only lasted about 10 mins before it turned to rain and nothing since
Hope everyone is staying safe esp with the awful weather -thankfully its not been that bad here lots of wind/rain but nothing major but its awful to see the reports of how badly some areas have been hit and the damage its been causing.
its been a really tough week so trying hard not to spiral into my usual low mood that drags on for weeks. I knew this year was going to be harder as it was a huge milestone but I've also had to self isolate as had flu type symptoms(covid test came back neg) but it meant I couldn't even go to the cemetery.
On better news I booked a short stay at Butlins xmas week its only 2 nights Mon-Weds but a bargain at just over £100. We were meant to go last year and it was cancelled so at that price thought it was too good to pass up esp as it is in the school holidays - they break up on the 17th here not that Taz is in school anyway.
Our birthday weekend breaks this month & next month have been cancelled obviously and our easter break is not looking likely so hopefully by xmas we'll actually be able to go somewherethis year do something that scares you for courage is not the absence of fear just the knowledge that some things are worth the risk3 -
Heyloo This is my very first forum post anywhere! I may have joined specifically for this thread - I lurked on it last year, when I was feeling really down, and enjoyed hearing about all of your festivities so much I thought I'd join in this time! Like many of you, I didn't manage much sale shopping this time - was really looking forward to the M&S sale, but found nothing in my size available that I fancied (since when was 14/16 so hard to find?!). Holding out for some slipper boots to come into stock, though, as my feet get nippy when I'm sat up in the spare room at my desk, and I've got an e-gift card for M&S. I hope 2021 will be nicer I'm supposed to submit my PhD thesis on March 31st after starting it back in 2013, so you can all help me get there4

Welcome to the thread DAFFYDAISIES. I joined the forum for the same reason many years ago and I rarely venture off this thread because it’s so friendly and supportive, some of the others are definitely not so.It's the most wonderful timeof the year :5
