update.
PRA never managed to supply the CCA. Ive never paid them a bean or acknowledged anything in writing. Its been six years and a couple of months.. Im still getting their autodialler calls (the number is blocked so i only know this when i look at my phone log) It doesnt bother me but i feel i should put this to rest by writing to them something along the lines.;
Official Complaint
dear pra, ref account ref......
since you acquired this account back in oct 2017 you have failed to supply the requested CCA. I have not paid you anything since you acquired it so as you are aware this account is statute barred. For the avoidance of doubt I will not be paying anything and demand you stop trying to phone me. I don't answer your calls anyway but my phone log shows you persistent attempts even though i requested back in 2017 that you only contact me by written letters. Unless i have written confirmation from you within the next 14 days that this account is unenforceable and you wont be harassing me any further or selling on the account to another low life debt collector , I will be passing on this information in a formal complaint to the FCA.
yours sincerely.....
Is this a wise or dumb move ?

The danger is that you might reset the statute barred clock by acknowledging the debit in writing, so you'd need to be 100% sure of the date of the cause of action before writing to them.It might feel tempting to contact them but they are thick skinned *******s and it's not going to make any difference to them. I'd just leave it and be pleased you have got to the end of the road.0

I've decided to send the letter quoting CONC7.15.8 simply so that if i were to die unexpectantly , i wouldn't want my family receiving statements and accidently making a payment to PRA. Is it acceptable to email PRA or does it have to be a written letter?0

wow, coincidence, just recieved an offer and statement to settle for only £735.80, (thats 85% off) , i take it they know its statute barred lol.0
