PayPal - negative balance since 8 years ago

Hello, I have a question regarding my PayPal account that has had a negative balance for more than 8 years now. I am unable to log in and PP representatives told me that there is a negative balance and I need to call them in order to unlock the account. I live in Europe and I think I wasn't even 18 years old when I created the account. I was making money online at that time and needed to exchange money from another payment processor, found a guy who was willing to pay me extra on PayPal. I was young and stupid and went with it, then the charge backs started coming. Don't know how much, don't know what they can do after such a long time. But I would like to sort that out. They have my ID and proof of address. What would be the best approach to solve this ?

The guy was most likely using hacked PP accounts and paid me through them. So now my PP is locked with an unknown negative balance. So even I am the victim here, but that doesn't justify that.
