@PipneyJane is it the limited edition one? Looks nice
If I can't find the soda crystals at Mr T's I will head to boots as it is on the same trading estate as b+q. It is a big one but I have never noticed a laundry section, mind you I don't go in there very often as I use my local chemist for all things medical.
Take care everyone.5 -
@Liverpool_Anne, yes, it is the limited edition one. It looks much nicer in the flesh.
@Laura_Elsewhere, thank you for that highly informative link about soda crystals. I’ve had my packet in the cupboard for a long time and not known what to do with it. (I knew I could add it to a wash but not when it was best to do so.)

We have soda crystals in our local Sainsbury's and Tesco's and Morrison's! But then we are in avery hard-water area so maybe there's more demand?
I've obviously been inspired by @Liverpool_Anne and her Grand Moth Hunt urn-out of everything... My Inended has a lot of archaic tech, and has bought more in the last year and it's ended up precariously on top of piles of t-shirts on the shelf in our bedroom's only cupboard and I finally put my foot down nd demanded he store i more securely so it doesn't start sliding down from above my head while I'm trying to put laundry away
We've also found several wasps in the flat in the last week so I think there's a small hole somewhere where they are coming in, from the roof-space, and when I suggested this,M.I. airily mentioned a 3-inch hole in that bedroom cupboard...!
So this morning, instead of a lie-in, we were up at 9, and the entire cupboard emptied onto the bed and my word we have a lot of clothing (for "we" read "I"...), and now he's vacuuming all round before filling the hole and cleaning the shelves and so on.
Then we have the question of what goes back in...I've already decided o have a box labelled I DON'T WEAR THIS VERY MUCH...2025 remaining: 37 coupons from 66:

Not certain how much space you have, @Laura_Elsewhere, but if anyone is looking for a semi-permanent "temporary" wardrobe substitute, I can thoroughly recommend this from Argos. Since my personal "Great Moth Disaster" several years ago, one of those has housed most of my wardrobe in our back bedroom. We now have two; one for each of us and there is a whole load of things stacked on top (vacuum packed yarn, vacuum packed fabric, suitcases, etc). They are extremely sturdy - mine is packed with clothes, while the shelves at the bottom house handbags, boxes of yarn and the odd coat. No sign of the clothes rail bowing.
The cover isn't great, but it keeps off the dust.

I need to go through and do a clothing purge. I also need to quit letting my mother buy clothes for me - I have a few gems, but most of it ends up still in the closet with the tags on.2023 Fashion on the Ration: Start with 66. Nightdress - 6 = 60 remaining.7

@PipneyJane, I'm laughing at the "not sure how much space you have,,,"
Picture a standard double-bed with its head against a wall. Give it 74cm of space either side to the side walls. Allow for a door opening at the foot that misses the corner of the bed-foot by less than half an inch. Have an alcove for the rest of the foot-end of the room that is just big enough for a cupboard with a hanging-rail and shelf above, whose doors miss the bed-foot by less than one inch.
Thankfully, My Intended is a geometry-genius and sawed the 50cm-deep shelves into two, creating lots of 20cm and 30cm shelves, and we have ninety-six feet of shelving around the bed, with just enough room to walk up either side, around 30cm on my side and 20cm on his as he's slimmer...
When we build our own place in the far future, we'll have a dressing-room, and I daydream about it quite often...
Edit: I looked up identical flats for sale recently and our layout comes to 496 square feet.
Apparently the official RIBA average for a one-bedroom flat in the UK is 495 sq ft, so our two-bedroom flat is indeed a little tight on space

I managed to get some soda crystals in Mr A as I had to go there for some gluten free bbq stuff for school. Didn't make it to b+q for the bucket though, a job for tomorrow as I am really keen to try this on some of my white shirts. Just heard on the radio that Mr M has been sold to an American investment company. They are promising no changes but I am doubtful that can happen, otherwise why sell?5

@PipneyJane, if I had room I would love one of those, maybe when my spare room is no longer an office / library / craft room / junk hiding room I will put one in there.
@Laura_Elsewhere, you have a second bedroom, would it fit in there or is it like mine, already full? Hope you sort out your wasp problem. Last year I kept seeing a wasp in my bedroom and as I have an allergic reaction to wasp stings, not bad enough to need an epipen but bad enough to require a trip to a&e fairly quickly, I am always keen to get them out of the house. It kept buzzing around my airing cupboard so after removing it for the 4th time I decided to investigate the cupboard and found the start of a wasp nest. They are beautiful constructions but definitely not welcome in an airing cupboard. I removed the nest and kept the window shut for the rest of the day. You must have a nest somewhere in the wall or roof space.6
