I have question pls. Me and my husband is planning to get a personal loan of 40,000, we are planning to buy a house abroad. Will our personal loan affect our ability to remortgage by 2022? Thanks.

I think that’s impossible for anyone on here to answer conclusively; if you take out a £40k loan then of course this is an additional outgoing to your finances, but debt is completely relative to your circumstances. Maybe it’s worth talking through with a mortgage advisor prior to 2022?1
