Just thought I'd let you know about this scam I experienced last night.
All Giveaways on Twitter: "🎉Apple iPad Pro #GiveawayWinners🎉 🎉Congratulations to:🎉 🌟@windbane76 🌟@Marcin77015054 🌟@roryl14 🎉I am going to be emailing the winners through this email ONLY: allgiveaways0@outlook.com🎉 https://t.co/q7JDyrucZ0" / Twitter
That's them announcing that I'd won an iPad pro. I then got this email:

Funny thing is they don't even know my address of even what country I'm in so how could they possibly know how far away I am. Others have experienced the same with their giveaways.

2020 - Haribo, Drill, Jumper

Damn, that sucks. I hate how these scams get your hopes up with a win, but then you find out it's just a bad scam.

I'd be tempted to reply to the email with "Sorry, I don't use Paypal. Please find attached an IPO (International Payment Order) made out for £5", then go find my copy of delpart.exe (very useful utility for silently wiping all disk partitions on your computer),  and using a method of potentially making them use it via email, wipe their computer. (Not detailing that here, don't know if that would be allowed under the rules!)

I have been getting emails like that for months after entering a comp on here that was then later removed for being a scam. The strange thing is that I still get emails but sent to addresses that I don't use for comping but they have a lot of my details correct as per my comping address.
I also have started getting texts to my mobile asking me to click the link to update my address but as I am just a little bit too wise for that I never give out a phone number that can work the internet.
  • They’ve blocked me on Twitter now so 100% scam
