Loads of the 303 cartridges online.
All shall be well, and all shall be well, and all manner of things shall be well.

Pedant alert - it's could have, not could of.

I know but i will only buy from a place I have heard of and often the few that had them listed many said out of stock. I saw some on amazon but it said that they were not only sold by someone i have not heard of but were also fulfilled by them rather than by amazon.

That doesn't mean anything.  No different to buying from eBay, who themselves don't actually sell anything.  If you had issues with an eBay seller or your item doesn't turn up or the seller pushes off and closes their account leaving you in limbo, eBay will sort you out with a refund.  Amazon works in the same way:
https://www.amazon.co.uk/gp/help/customer/display.html?nodeId=201889310 - "If a dispute arises between you and a Marketplace Seller, and you can't reach an agreement with them, you may be able to file an Amazon.co.uk A-to-z Guarantee claim."  "The Amazon A-to-z Guarantee protects you when you purchase items sold and fulfilled by a third party seller. Our guarantee covers both the timely delivery and the condition of your items. If either are unsatisfactory, you can report the problem to us and our team will determine if you are eligible for a refund."

Still would be a load of extra hassle.

Surely no more hassle than going to Tesco, coming home, loading the printer, find out the cartridge doesn't work and going back to Tesco, queue up at the Customer Service desk, getting a replacement and going home again?  Amazon route:  Order ink.  Doesn't work.  Fill in a web form.  Supplier will normally either refund or replace  as appropriate.  If return is requested, load up a packet and drop it in a postbox.  You actually have more rights buying online than you do if you buy it out of Tesco.

    stinkyink.com is my choice.

I'm writing a book on plagiarism. It wasn't my idea.

i have experimented with single cartridge mode. i left the black cartridge in and tried it and there were the same issues so i suspect it might lie there. i have tried taking a picture of the underneath of the cartridge to post here. assuming i post it correctly perhaps someone might identify a fault from seeing it as i am clueless. sorry its a bit blurred. if not adequate i can try again?
