January 2021 Grocery Challenge

Hi all,

Just a couple of spends to update, just for bread, cheese, milk and ham! £5.79 spent on these so £14.17/200 so far this month. Will need birthday cake supplies tomorrow as both DS1 and DS2 have upcoming birthdays.

No extra spends to report. Mondays are “soup and pudding” night in our house - a big batch of HM soup in the pressure cooker (we had minestrone last night made from leftover beef stew bulked out with tomatoes/beans/veg etc and it was amazing!), a loaf of HM bread and last night’s pudding was ice cream leftover from Christmas which the kids had in cones which have sat unopened from the summer! So lots of using bits up last night.

Tyres/alloys fitting cost me £40 less than I expected, £120, price included fitting and balancing,,while he was doing that 20 min job I wandered across to Aldi, spent £17.71 2 y.s rib eyes, y.s. lamb shoulder, will chop into 4, some tidy looking measuring jugs reduced to 99p, my existing ones are stained, a mini stollen for some comfort food.

I use the site on my laptop, so these are instructions from a computer.   Not sure if things look slightly different on a phone/tablet.

Go into your profile using the link towards the very top right of the screen (above the 'help' icon)

Down the left hand side of the screen are a number of options - the next to last is 'Signature Settings' which you need to click on

Enter what you want in the panel in the middle column on the screen, then hit 'save' below the panel

I've found it, but it says "You don't have permission to use a signature." Maybe because I'm new? I'll leave it for a bit to see if it sorts itself.

First grocery shopping of the year today, £2.88 in Lidl including 1.5kg of potatoes for 14p, and £3.85 in Morrison's including pack of 6 crumpets for 25p and a Bombay Bad Boy pot noodle for 50p. 
January spend = £6.73 so far.

Before the bit you want in a colour, type a [ then (in capitals) COLOR= then the colour you want (best to stick to the basic Red, Green, Blue) with first letter in capitals followed by a ].   After the bit you want in the colour type [ then /COLOR then ]

Not 100% sure how fussy it is with the capital, but I had some issues initially - and that format is working.

Note that COLOR does NOT have a U in it for this purpose!!!!
