How do I accept the mortgage offer ( Virgin Money ) ?

Options
It might be a weird question, but long story short, I got a mortgage offer in the post from Virgin Money. The broker said I should be able to sign the document and post it back to the lender to confirm them that I accept the offer. But there is nothing in the document that mention about it. It's just all the detail of the mortgage that the lender offer me and all other legal stuff. Am I missing something here?

I have the same thing and assume we don't need to sign anything? Good question though, I may check with them!

If the lender hasn't asked you to sign and return anything to them, then obviously that's not what you're meant to do! Generally acceptance is deemed to happen when your mortgage completes via your solicitor.

Some lenders need you to sign and return now but most now a days dont.

Ask your broker to check but I am pretty sure with Virgin there is nothing to sign (my mortgage is with them and I dont recall signing an offer), if you complete that is a pretty good indication you accept the offer :)

  • My old mortgage was with Virgin
When I got my original mortgage there was nothing to sign
When I did a product transfer there was something I needed to sign and return so maybe it is only on product transfers?
