Hi my first post and apologies if I’m wrong subject, so my friend paid a deposit to a catering company for her daughter’s wedding for next year (as years one was postponed) , now the catering company are saying they’re going into voluntary liquidation, she’s asked her bank and they don’t want to know, is there anything she can do to get her money back? The company are still active on companies house!! There’s a lot of people in the same situation as her with the catering company taking in excess of £250k in deposits this year knowing they wouldn’t be fulfilling their duties.
