Debenhams has announced a cut off for accepting gift cards in-store and online ahead of their closure.
In an email to all customers, they said: "We will only be accepting Debenhams gift cards and e-gift cards in-store and online until midnight Sunday 20 December.
"Please note you can make payment using a maximum of two different payment methods per transaction, which includes gift cards and beauty club rewards" it adds.

I guess this also includes the "Beauty club rewards", so use it or lose it

Well, if I would have known... I still have unspent money on a Debenhams gift card
I recently bought stuff from them but I was not aware of the cut off time for the gift cards.
No email was sent - I guess this is only a 'privilege' for the ones who opted to receive the newsletter?
So how legal is this? Anything I can still do do use that money or complete lost?
