HSBC mortgage - self employed

Does anyone have an idea of a timeline of when you will get a decision once all documents have been submitted to HSBC? They have asked for my accounts until the end of this year so have submitted and waiting. 4 weeks since mortgage application submitted, also when do they carry out valuation? before or after it's been to the underwriters?

Not self employed but we’re FTB using forces help to buy along with our own savings, been 3 weeks nearly 4 this Tuesday coming and still nothing. Chased the mortgage advisor who says we just have to wait, they’ll get to us eventually 😳0
