Section 75 credit card protection question from a club

Hi all. My apologies if this topic has been covered before. I am treasurer for a motorcycle touring club; we make no profit, all operations are conducted at cost. We operate a business banking account and collect and then pay consolidated member's monies for foreign tour accommodation by bank transfer in the relevant currency. Given these strange times I'm looking at how better to protect member's payments when made by the club to hotels etc and thinking primarily about the potential for establishments going under after receipt of a deposit or full payment from me. My club can apply for a credit card, but would such, operated in the name of a club and not an individual, be afforded Section 75 protection (based on paying a small part of any required deposit on said credit card)? Thanks in advance.

I don't know, but in a similar situation we strongly advise members to take out their own insurance before booking on the Club weekend.
I can see the attraction of Section 75 protection. I would ask whichever provider you are looking at whether it would be available or not.Signature removed for peace of mind1
