Loans2go and United Kash Limited
Hi everyone
Loans 2 Go did not carry out appropriate credit checks on my partner, if they would have they would have seen he is on a low income and has a very poor credit history, so I sent a letter from one of the templates which gives them 8 weeks to respond which would be by the 30th Dec. However, they have sold the debt to United Kash Limited who are now harassing him.
My question is, are Loans 2 Go allowed to sell debt when there is a complaint in against them for irresponsible lending?
I've been unable to find anything on the internet regarding this and if they can, what can be done with United Kash Limited?
Many thanks

Yes, they can sell the debt.
You can either tell them you have an outstanding complaint and ask if they will put collection on hold, or continue to pay them and any redress will sorted on resolution of the complaint.
Continuing to pay will at least stop you being 'harrassed'.0 -
He is not paying them, it is unfair to sell the debt before the complaint has been dealt with.
I cannot find the court proceedings for United Kash Limited taking people to court.

It's not unfair to sell the debt before the complaint is dealt with, Consider the sale of a portfolio of 5 million accounts. It's not possible to do it at any time at which there are no outstanding complaints.
If he does not wish to pay them, them he either speaks to them or puts up with requests for payment.2 -
Hi,It makes no difference if the debt has been sold or not, it does not take away the original creditors responcibility to address the concerns you have.So what do I do next ?Either write, call, or email Loans to go, remind them of the complaint you sent, and that they must deal with it.To back up your case, you can ring the Financial Ombudsman helpline number, explain the situation to them, and they will write to loans to go, on your behalf, telling them they have a complaint to deal with, it will give you a little more clout, and may ensure your complaint is taken more seriously. The number is here - 0800 023 4567Inform United Kash that a dispute exists with this account, and to put collection activity "on hold" until Loans to go have issued you with a final responce. As zx81 points out, debts are sold in bulk, and are sold irrespective of their status, these things only tend to come to light when the debtor makes a complaint.I hope your complaint is dealt with properly, merry christmas to you.
