This follows on from a previous thread that I can’t find.
Re-my LGPS, and my pension being based on my final three years ? the best one of those years, if I’ve been on half pay due to sickness for part of the best of those three years (I had a pay rise) will my pension be based on what my pay should’ve been for that year or my actual pay for that year?
If I have two full years, prior to that and my annual salary was lower on paper but I earned a full salary but lower, will it be based on that?
Also what is the best time of year to retire, to maximise tax rebates and national insurance?
Thank you

Final salary pension in LGPS, which only relates to membership before 2014, is based on whole time pay. If you worked part time this reduced your membership which in turn reduced your pension.

I don’t think sickness now will affect this, but you would be wise to check with LGPS1
