Hi,
I have recently been called and emailed by Lantern over a debt with QuickQuid. I am also getting emails from CashEuroNet asking me to make a claim.
The debt is 6 years old.
Any advice is greatly appreciated, thank you.

Being honest I posted in haste and should have thought more about what to post as I have since realised that I made the mistake of talking to the Lantern rep via phone: was offering settlement of 200 for 1000 loan - yes that was stupid of me to take the call, I was not of sound mind at that time, I said I had to go as working.
OK Question: Have I messed up or am I still able to beat this?
Thank you so much sourcates.

Lol, that’s ok, has it been more than 6 years since default, and your thoughts are that it’s statute barred yes ?I’m a Forum Ambassador and I support the Forum Team on the Debt free wannabe, Credit file and ratings, and Bankruptcy and living with it boards. I will email them with my address as to avoid a backdoor CCJ and check I am on the electoral roll as I got stung before.
Is there a standard letter I should post them to begin the end of this?
Thanks again.0 -
Quick quid/cash Euro net, are in receivership, hence why they want to deal with all complaints as quickly as possible, as they are winding up the company.
The amount of redress available is very much limited, and is expected to be a very similar payment as Wonga made to its creditors, around 4%, or 4p in the pound, so not very much.
So Ignore the invite to complain.
Admission of a debt can only ever be done in writing, so you are fine on that score, if you think the debt is statute barred, then send lantern the SB template letter. It can be found here -
