Christmas Alone - what will you be doing

Thank you. Did not know about “telephone befriender”Katiehound said:Probably too late to register as a telephone befriender pre Christmas. Looks like AgeUK, Ageconcern, Royal Voluntary Service all have a scheme. Just google 'Telephone befriending'
Otherwise whoever is providing a Christmas lunch locally (SA? Local Church?) may know of someone who would like a call. There is just about time to organise that

Change your mindset, glass half empty syndrome will suck you further in.
Get outside, be it for a walk, or just going into the garden with a steaming hot drink - get out there, smell the fresh air and think of the things you have to be thankful for, there's always a lot more than you think 🙏

An organisation called Silverline is always looking for telephone befrienders although you may have to volunteer at other times of the year too. I live alone and have volunteered for Crisis a homeless organisation in the past. This year I will be home alone as I did not factor in enough time to isolate. I'm looking forward to it. I will watch rubbish TV, eat nice food have a few glasses of fizz and catch up with people I want to on the phone. I must be unusual as I like my own company. I will also plan my 2021 and reflect on 2020. I hope you enjoy your Christmas too. Take care.Sistergold said:

Thank you. Good suggestions. Am planning on watching lots of TV for sure! If it was not for lockdown I would have had lots of things to do with other single woman while children are away but will have to enjoy my own company this time.doingitanyway said:
