I have lived in my current house in a rural village for 26 months and had solar panels for 21 months. I have never yet had a meter reading or a request to read my meters, either the electricity meter or the one measuring solar panel output. However my current electricity supplier, Symbio Energy, requires me to submit photographs of my electricity meter (I'm with Bulb for my FIT payments).Reed1

EDF have made appointments to read/check our generation meter every two years since the PV system was installed. They even agreed to change the dates of the 3 monthly readings, we provide, so that they matched the 1st April inflation increase.
