  • My oven goes down to 50C so I’ve used that for drying fruit leathers and apples etc before. Does the dehydrator give better results, cost less to run, or am I better sticking with my oven?

A dehydrator has a fan,so there is good airflow. I would say that makes it more efficient.I use mine for drying the many tomatoes I grow, and fruit and veg that would otherwise be wasted.Mushrooms are excellent done that way.
  • I've used my dehydrator to make fruit leathers.  However, with blackberries, I think I would add some apple puree as well, to give the pulp more body.
