I made vegetarian pizzas for the first time last night. Everyone tells me they are so easy, but never got around to it. Definitely recommend having a go. I did not have yeast so just google a recipe without yeast and they were very tasty. Could anyone tell me is it is better to use a recipe with yeast in ?7

Haven't made for a long time but used to use yoghurt - just flour and natural yoghurt to make a dough. Can add some bicarb if you want. Never made pizza with yeast. Lots of no yeast recipes online.

I just used lemon balm as that was all i had. I also used almonds instead of pine nuts and some cheddar instead of parmesan. It was pretty much a anything goes recipe. My garden just seems to sprout lemon balm all over the place. I've also made a iced tea with it which was nice and refreshing in the summer. This year i might try and dry some of the leaves.

@dawnw Thank you for this, going to add it to my list to try!
@the_cross_rabbit thank you for the recipe, does the nasturtium pods and leaves/ calendula leaves taste of anything, I’ve never had them.
@roblou27 hope your other half starts feeling well soon x8 -
oldstylethriftylady the nasturtiums have a slight peppery taste. The calendula i can't really describe, but its not a horrible taste. Its often referred to poor man saffron.

@StrawberrySuze. I made lemon curd last week for the first time, used this one. Turned out lovely and was easy

I’ve since used the curd as filling for muffins and a lemon drizzle, swirled through yoghurt.
We had an anniversary this weekend and our DCs kindly sent us a voucher for takeaway. We got Indian and I thoroughly enjoyed it. I can make a decent curry but it’s never quite as authentic. We also treated ourselves to a rib of beef! It was half price in Waitrose, £15 instead of £30. We got two main meals each and a hot roast beef sandwich on day three 😋.10 -

Tonight's curly kale cookies (photos on Faceb00k) experiment turned out rather well. If you don't like kale, use whatever you need to use up rather than throw it in the bin.I reserve the right not to spend.
The less I spend, the more I can afford.
