You made me laugh......willow_loulou said:I’m large chested, I now only wear soft bras that pull on - like sports bras as I can’t do clasps up. Honestly I no longer have grooved shoulders and no back pain in those muscles that ache from being larger chested. I had to shop around for the right fit but oh I am a convert. They’re also about a 3rd of the price of a bra. The uplift is not as high as underwired but it’s definitely up!
I'll give them a try.

I was scared too. Am afraid of all operations. But now I am beyond fed-up, tired etc.wort said:I'm pretty certain that boob reduction on nhs was stopped. Plus it's a very big operation! 😉in more ways than the obvious.
I know a couple of people who tried to get it and we're told it's no longer available, they paid privately instead. I'm too scared to do it.

Shopping day today, managed to keep under £35 for the main weekly shop and that included a big pack of loo roll which usually lasts us a couple of months. Still trying to eat from the freezer so did a bit of an inventory the other day and found a pie that I'd forgotten about so that was very welcome for tea that night 😁
I took a loaf from the freezer for this week, it's a jalapeno and cheese topped cob which was in last week's TGTG box, oh my! It's delicious! I wasn't expecting to like it because I don't really do spicy but I would defo buy it again.
I bought a t-shirt for £2 from Primark which I begrudge really because I have loads of t-shirts that I like but they are all too small for me at the moment, hence me trying to slim down a bit. Apart from that I've not spent anything over the last week really so I'm pleased about that.

Nobody about here would pay for manure as almost everyone around here has horses and it's so readily available. We're also 7 miles from the nearest village so not mych by way of passing trade aside from dog walkers who drive out to visit the windfarm walk. I do have a tin postbox at the gate along with 2 wooden crates for incoming and outgoing goods - I've been left a bottle of wine and 2 courgette plants so far.Siebrie said:Frugaldom, with all you have to keep going, I'm surprised you manage to post! Don't apologise, we'll keep your seat free
Re the bags of horse manure: can you add a tin with a sign 'the manure is free, but a donation to make sure it keeps coming is appreciated'?
I've now also got one of those PayPal QF codes that people can scan with a mobile and pay or donate but I haven't attached that to the gate yet.

Good evening, frugal friends. I've just caught up with all your news and conversations - it's been interesting. Over the years, we've done almost everything possible to reduce spending on electricity but always have been living in places where there are no mains gas (or water mains or sewers, for that matter) s it's a constant struggle keeping warm. Sticking to a strict budget really can mean heating or eating. If you are reading back through old challenges, you'll see all the things we tried with bubble wrap insulation on windows, fleece blinds, door curtains and draught excluders, wood foraging, cooking on the log burner... now we have a gas cylinder fire for instant heat as the coal fire is just too time consuming when working outdoors all day every day. I still save hot water in a flask and have just invested in a new Thermos one - it was £6.50 from Asd*. I filled it this morning at about 9am and the remains were still warm at 9pm

I'm going to have to find the time to redo my 2021 budget sheet after computer crashed while it was open. Whatever I did, it wiped out all my pages! Thankfully, 99% of my spending is by card or bank transfer so it just means going through all my statements. I've had 3 supermarket orders this year totalling approx. £215 and I have not been inside a shop. Aside from pal collecting me some dairy produce, everything else has been Olio, swaps or trades.
Hens... if anyone is reading right back through the challenges to when we were hatching out the tiny Pekin hens, possibly around 2010, we still have a couple of them. Little clucky pensioners that no longer lay us any eggs but are still happy and healthy. We've still also got one of the original ducks that we hatched when moving into our fixy up, so it must now be a good old age, too! And new to the ever-expanding menagerie, we now have 2 rescued goats. Been busy trying to improve fencing and protect the fruit trees and herb garden.
Hope everyone is doing ok and managing to stay sane during the prolonged restrictions. Things are slowly returning to a semblance of normality here in Scotland so it's been great to see a few visitors beginning to trickle back to Frugaldom for chats and cuppas al fresco. Still no planning permission for our hut so I'm planning on clearing out a better space in the barn for wet weather visitors. It's all we can do for now.I reserve the right not to spend.
The less I spend, the more I can afford.

Hello everyone. I have had a good chuckle reading the boobs posts! 🤣
We have still not done a delivery! Yayayay! And.... still have enough food for at least two weeks! Insanity. The only things we need are some veg and dishwasher tablets. House moving stuff is expensive and time consuming But I keep telling myself it will be worth it in the end. I’ve been working out cost When we move and I’m hoping it will be similar but our grocery costs should go down. I’m already feeling sorry for Asda yellow sticker person. I shall be close enough to figure out when they reduce and will base our meals around reductions.Sky is Going as soon as we are out of contract, which annoyingly isn’t until October! Bloody annoying. That will save £37 a month tho so I’m looking forward to that!Oh, I’d So Love Chickens! But No more animals. 2 dogs and an elderly cat are enough for now...2022 Comp total (prizes + free spins): £494.81 #20 £12 a day Jan: £382.95/£372 #57 360 1p challenge: £17.70 £10 a day Feb: £571.09/£280 March: £311.96/£31017 -
Thank you for the encouragement with my small steps to frugalhood. On the boobs front 😉 I have needed new bras for months but have been too lazy to bother. I've frequently not bothered wearing my bra (not well endowed) and have decided that this slatternly attitude is rebranded as frugal
