Hello all
My count for March so far is 4 NSDs with a grocery spend today. I was in hospital from Sunday until yesterday, hence the no spend. I also drew £20 out of the cashpoint while was at the supermarket and put it in a thank you card for the friend who took me to A&E on Sunday. I'd normally buy flowers but I know that she has no money and she called a few times to check that my 16 year old son and his almost 18 year old partner were ok and didn't need any shopping. I had a gallstone removed from my bile duct and will be going back to have my gallbladder removed some time in the next 4 weeks.
I'm eating very small meals but my son's partner is still here so I'll be cooking/washing etc for three for a few days. It shouldn't be a problem, there's plenty of food in. Todays grocery run was for fresh stuff like fruit and some cat food which is strangely limited on Asda online
@Bluegreen143 if your seeds don't show up I also have enough peppers, courgette etc to share and you'd be welcome to have some.
@Tightpants24 thanks for the sunflower seeds info. I've ordered some.
@retiredinfrance hello, lovely to "meet" you. You talk a lot of sense. I read a lot of websites when I was pregnant that said not to use soap on babies so I didn't. My 16 year old doesn't seem to be any the worse for not being scrubbed until he shone
Take care all of you10 -

Thank you I’ve just ordered some seeds. Funny enough I was just looking at my seed pot and realised I’d only 2 sunflower seeds left! Thanks!Life happens, live it well.8

Thank you for the sunflower seed link, I have just ordered some too.
Frugally had not been going well. With DH only just returning to work and only temporarily we seemed to be borrowing from ourselves if that makes sense. So I made a transfer from our savings to get us up to date and now from his wages we're just buying essentials and this week we should have around £200 left to put towards the big bills in April. My car is due a service, MOT, insurance and tax renewals. Ouch!
I am planning on going to the community fridge this week either when I pick up my new glasses or when I need to collect meds from the vet.Spend less now, work less later.11 -

Just thought I'd mention for those looking for something to watch.
Hope everyone is warm and well, my March seems more challenging than February at the moment but I'm hanging on in there with low spends and my budget.

I found Vivi about a month ago I think it was from a recommendation from this thread. She is great and has a great backlist of videos for anyone wanting to be self sufficient and growing your own.‘It never hurts to keep looking for sunshine’ - Winnie the Pooh9 -

Finally got a day off to get some decluttering and housework done, have to get the shed organised ready for planting some seeds soon. We've finalised our garden plans for this year, and I'm finally going to finish the BBQ stand/bar cart I started last year once it's warm enough to paint the pallets I salvaged.9
