Been busy sowing flowers for pollinators and a few for us to eat. All in unheated props. Almost all the window sills are occupied now. Hopefully will be able to move some into the potting shed at the weekend.Been bloomin cold today.

Can’t wait for my seeds to come! You are all making me jealous!
We ordered online a few weeks ago and they keep emailing to say they are delayed and we really want to get certain things planted (chillies & tomatoes mainly, in Scotland so have to be careful not to plant other stuff too early).
Have been doing some garden pottering though for the first time in ages - it’s been lovely to get out there.

Hi @Kerry_Woman, have you looked at Open Reach? There is a range is interesting courses all free and online. I've done a few for personal and some for work and they are good quality and well laid out.Kerry_Woman said:Am looking for things to do to improve my mental health which do not cost anything in March as I have been struggling. I already have mindulness colouring books in which I have had for a while and wordsearch book. I have to cut back how much time I spend on social media.
Have you got a link? All I'm finding is stuff from BT
im about to do my 3rd btec level 2, the first 2 were free with my local adult Ed and all online.
There was one I did on Mindfulness and another on Resilience which were both great when was needing a proactive boost even though had prior knowledge.
First Reads are great to sign up to and GoodReads for reading challenges and inspiration, always found reading a good way to relax and occupy mind in a different way, and focused if researching recipes, gardening and dreaming of projects (that I never do by the way!).
Hope that helps. ❤️11 -

@Wraithlady, @StrawberrySuze and @-taff Thanks, builders/flower buckets are much cheaper. I'm also keeping an eye on G*mtree. Olio and anywhere else I can think of.
My Hyacinths have turned out to be a real bargain, one of the bulbs has two separate stems with flowers so I got 4 for the price of 3. Love the scent. they are just starting to bloom. I never buy cut flowers so this really is a treat!.14 -
Hardly any of my daffodils/crocus in the garden have come up this year 😥 may have to buy a couple of potted bulbs too @MazzieDPart time working mum of DS (2015) and DD (2018).

I forgot to post about my frugal bargain yesterday. I buy a baby wash for my ultra sensitive skin and yesterday I found they had it some of it on clearance for 78p a bottle instead of £3.10 so I bought the last two bottles, If anyone has any recommendations for a cheap shower gel that is suitable for very sensitive skin please let me know 😀

Ohh sensitive skin, I’m with you on that. I go through so many trying them. I currently use Alberto balsam tee tree or apple shampoo watered down to wash with in the shower. I’d be very interested in suggestions too.Dove and anything similar is an absolute no no.Life happens, live it well.11

I am excited that my seeds have arrived today. I have always been a lazy gardener buying nicely grown plants from the garden centre. I spent about £300 on plants last year and have a really small garden. Looked lovely but not very frugal. So I intend to spend no more than £100 this year (hopefully less). I have bought some lupin roots, dahlia and calla lily bulbs from morrisons for £9. Also have seeds for a few other flowers. Most exciting is the lettuce, tomato and pepper seeds I got for 99p a pack from suttons. Even if I only get enough to feed my tortoise it will be a saving. 🤞🌱🐢15

I can't use Dove products aimed at adults but I buy the Dove head to toe baby wash and that's been ok so far 😊willow_loulou said:Ohh sensitive skin, I’m with you on that.
