Still on track to come in under budget. As my monthly outgoings vary so much I'm just going to monitor it as I know I'll be over some months so it should even out over the year.
Started to do a YS trawl for March this morning, but came back empty handed. Had a quick look in the freezer, still have some meat left so not too worried.
Think I'll start looking at plant pots/containers over the next few days but haven't allocated a garden budget yet. February is going really quickly, only another few days and of course the excitement of an announcement from Boris on Monday, haven't looked but will probably get leaked beforehand!.
Have a lovely weekend all, hope the weather is ok for you.13 -
I am getting inspired by all of your posts. I have never been much of a gardener but I did make an effort in first lockdown when the weather was lovely. I plan to try to grow some herbs and salad stuff for the first time ever. Love the idea of the milk bottle planters 😃
I have managed to do some prolific this week and made around £11. Also I cancelled a couple of subscriptions and saved £18 a month - I am embarrassed to just let them go on because I couldn't be bothered to sort it out .
And...I went to Lidl with £5 off £25 shop. This totals £34 saved. Pleased with this thrifty start.
Ps. I signed up for Olio and got a tray of 12 eggs yesterday20 -
Morning. Not feeling to good right now, I had a bit of a reaction from the vaccine but I’m getting better. My mum bless her saw the Monty Don bit in the weekend magazine so she dropped that off for me. 🥰
I also was gifted some daffodils this morning from my lovely neighbour. Spring is coming!Life happens, live it well.16 -
[Deleted User] said:OLaney thanks for recommending this channel on YT. I love it, it is so inspiring, thought provoking and motivating.
@willow_loulou I don’t know which vaccine you had but my mum had a reaction too and she had the Oxford one. A very bad headache for about a day and then it was gone. Hopefully, it will wear off soon.
Tomorrow is going to be another day of listing things on eBoy as I have another £1 max listings fee weekend. Best time to put them on for sure.
Planted some daffodil bulbs last year and some have come out in flower today! Spring is definitely on the way 🌱🌼17 -
@OLaney I had Oxford. I had nausea, weakness, glands up, headache and joint pains, my glands reacted really quickly. I do feel better but still have all the above to a lesser degree than yesterday. All absolutely worth it, I’ve had no cold or flu for 13 months so I can cope with a couple of days feeling rough! Glad your mum was soon okay.Life happens, live it well.16

I had the Oxford one too and was really poorly, high temperature, shivery and really tired. Had my jab at 10am and by 4pm I felt really rough. By 8.30pm I was so tired I went and bed and slept until 7.30 the next morning! Felt much better next day. But as you say it's got to be worth it. Just hope it isn't as bad 2nd time around!

Haven’t really updated on here but not got a lot going on! Settling into new job so, while we are still being sensible with money, frugal things like baking and making stuff has taken a backseat for now. That said, I have enjoyed making both a Valentines and birthday card for my husband so I don’t think I’ll go back to shop bought! And as we have stacks of craft stuff in it was totally free to make them. Next up is an anniversary card for husband in a week.
Made a lovely Terry’s chocolate orange cake for my husband’s birthday today 🤤 was nice to get baking after some time off!Doing a lot of work on my YNAB budget just now having read the book and watched a lot of YouTube videos on it so am feeling really positive about the budget and our financial goals.
Sorry some of you have been a bit poorly following the vaccine!Part time working mum | Married in 2014 | DS born 2015 & DD born 2018

For all the peoplfe who have mentioned olio I dont know if this will be of any help but I work for booker the cash and carry and I noticed on our branch comms this morning that we have now partnered with olio and they plan to have all branches using it by august. They have said that charities will have first dibs on things but anything else has to go to olio. It might mean that for those of you who never seem to have anything near you this might change in the future so might be worth keeping your app for now.23

I had my covid jab on Thursday. I was scared as I have some weird allergies (green tea, polyester and mushrooms in order of severity). They have epi pens on site so I decided to just go ahead even though it was the Pfizer one. I'm a key worker but I'm also overweight and asthmatic. I had a sore arm yesterday but no other symptoms and today I feel fine. Just in case anyone who hasn't been jabbed yet is interested....18
