Issue with a pc brought on finance
Options
Hello, sorry this is a long post
at the start of the year i ordered a new pc from a custom builder and took out a 12 month intrest free loan on it. the build time was 14 days for the pc and it came in after 13 days so all was looking good only when i opened the box the case of the pc was incorrect i tried to message the seller about this and call them after sending them some pictures of the pc they said i was trying to return a older pc so in respone i loaded windows on to the pc and got up the system information showing that all the internal specs were what i had ordered that were all new parts sent a picture over of this to prove it was infact a new pc with matching parts and i didnt get a respone from the company.
So the next day i took the issue up with the finance company and after speaking with them they told me if i was unhappy with the good all i had to do was return the item and they would take it up with the seller about getting funds back. as i was within my 14day window when i had informed them. so i returned the item kept the tracking number and the seller rejected the item and then it was due to be returned back to me. this took a little over 2 months. in the mean time a complaint was opened up with the finance company who then said they could not cancel the credit untill they had a respone from the seller after doing what i was instructed to do by them.
after the pc was finaly back with me the finance company offered to credit this too due to them rejecting the parcel due to a return id not being on the parcel but i was never given one. so i posted the pc back off again lock down had effected this abit delaying me from being able to post it off. the pc builder had the pc and gave the same report back to the finance company i had provided them saying all the spec were in fact correct but the case was not correct and that they dispute sending the wrong item out. so now iv been given a final letter respone saying that my credit cannot be canceled and that have taken the side of the seller. now the customer service rep i had to go back and forth with clearly had no understanding of pcs and there internal workins as she would only take the word of the seller on this matter, after i supplied time stamped pictures of the pc showing it was incorrect.

after afew weeks of the pc being with the seller they then emailed me back to say the pc was ready to be collected from them as they were not going to post it back out this is over a 2 hour drive for me so i got intouch again with the finance company and they arrange for it to be posted back out to me. now in this time the pc that i had posted without a mark has been returned to me with a snapped off screw with a sharp point left from this and the front glass panel shattered in the post the screw was 100% on the company the glass im thinking was damaged in post due to not being properly secure along with parts from the pc unplugged and wires left out so it is currently unusable and i am unable to get a 2nd opion on this pc to overturn there final respone as they had offered if i got another specillist to look at it they would re look at my case.
in the 2 months it took to return the pc me i took out another pc from a different seller that has been perfect but this is also on credit and i didnt take this out lightly as i was told the other one would be canceled and that i wouldnt have to worry about paying for a pc i didnt order so i went ahead with a different one. maybe i rushed this without have the canelation from them but it leaves me currently paying for 2 pcs that i cannot afford and i have no intention of not paying for the one that i got with perfect service.
The financely Ombudsman are looking at this but told me an inspector wont get round to looking at the case before Jan/Feb 2021 due to covid slowing them down and i was advised to pay the monthly fee till they can look at the case but the intrest is massive and i never intended to have to pay intrest i had put enough aside to pay it within the 12months buy clearly never made a payment due to having the wrong thing
so im lost due i not pay for this item come febuary knowing it will hit my credit score hard making issues like remortgaging hard lucky im locked in for 3 years but i think missed payments for last for along time i owe just over £2200.00 without intrest with taking the 48 months it puts it around £4000 alot of money to loose to save my credit score

Sorry the post is really difficult to follow....
What was actually wrong with the first PC you ordered? Based on what you've written it seems as though you got all the right components, but the PC case itself was different? Was that all that was wrong with it? I mean if that was all it was....was it really that big of a deal? What was the difference between the two cases?
You are right though, you've put yourself in a difficult situation by taking out the second PC before you had resolved the first one....that was a risk you took and now you are in difficult position....0 -

Like the poster above said it was pretty silly of you too take out a second PC on finance if you can't afford it just because the case was different!. The worst case scenario would have been you having too put up with an incorrect case which wouldn't effect the operation of the PC.
But it seems like for some reason the seller denies making a mistake, how different is the case you have too the one you ordered? Is it possible it is the correct case but the picture on his website showed the wrong model?.
Can you post pictures on here of the case you have and the case you should have had?
Also the correct word to use is "bought" which means to buy something and not "brought"!0 -

The case i had order was a Azza Cube 802F more of a decrotive case when I place the order it was around £300 then the fans on top corsair light loop £160 and the case i got was a corsair 460x with stock fans so a cost difference of of roughly £380 I think the corsair would be suitable performace wise but its not what I had ordered nor anywhere close
I can understand if people are use to a normal desktop thinking a incorrect case isn't a big deal but I ordered something that was going to be a center piece not just a functional case that I had paid alot of money for kind of like ordering an nice painting and getting a piece of paper folded up in the post0 -

I have put some pictures up showing the difference there pretty large but mainly comes down to cost and style0 -
The second one actually looks a bit more stable. First one looks unstable. I am really too old for this. In my day you looked at the monitor. Do you spend all your time looking at the case these days?0

Who was the PC builder ?
Your credit score is only seen by you only, your history is seen and is more important.

I would also name and shame the PC builder and make sure you post on any social media accounts they have about how they refuse to do anything because they should have resolved this the first time you sent it back.2
