Lenders role in exchange

Hi all,
we are at the stage of preparing for exchange and want to exchange before Christmas. I emailed my nationwide mortgage advisor today to provide an update and she is out of office until Monday.
Does this mean my solicitor will not be able to plan for exchange on day next Thursday 17th?
I guess what I am asking is who is responsible for arranging this and what role does the lender have?

I hope that makes sense! Thanks in advance for any help!

It will be your solicitor preparing for exchange and will oversee the exchange.
Do you have a mortgage offer and has the solicitor received their copy?

Your broker / advisors role stops after getting a mortgage offer, unless you renegotiate your purchase offer or need a mortgage offer extension.

It's all on your solicitor to get the purchase exchanged, obtain money from lender and you, then complete the purchase.
Mortgage started 2020, aiming to clear 31/12/2029.

Thank you both. Yes we have everything in place so good to know her being out of office shouldn’t have a negative impact.

Be handled by another team entirely not by an individual mortgage advisor.
