I am looking to remortgage onto a 75% LTV versus the 80% LTV rate which is nearly 0.75% difference! Concerned value is going to come back not accurate given climate....(HSBC, Santander or Platform)

I have heard a lot of brokers complain about down valuations, but I have not had any personally... Thats not to make it sound like I am doing anything special BTW, it is probably the luck of the draw on that kind of thing and how good the agents were at valuing the property in the first place.I am a Mortgage AdviserYou should note that this site doesn't check my status as a mortgage adviser, so you need to take my word for it. You’re not buying a property are you?
So its more what they vaue you’re property at now? What have similar properties sold for in your area? That’s good indication of what the value will beMFW 2025 #50: £1989.73/£600007/03/25: Mortgage: £67,000.00

Great, next door sold for 10k less in Jan, hence my 10k increase on the value, so here’s hoping!0

Banks generally are taking a cautious view. Hardly surprising given the cloud hanging over the economy.0

@IAMIAM I have been seeing (and hearing of) a bit more down vals than usual since summer, but area wise it's mostly restricted to London and surrounding counties. Personally haven't come across any down vals outside that region this year.IAMIAM said:I am looking to remortgage onto a 75% LTV versus the 80% LTV rate which is nearly 0.75% difference!
