How to store an opened pack of creamed coconut?

I used half a block of creamed coconut in a recipe, and don't have any immediate use for the rest. The original use by date was April next year. Could I just wrap it in clingfilm and keep it - in the cupboard? fridge? freezer?

Usually keep mine in the fridge after opening.‘Keep your eye on the donut and not on the hole.’ David Lynch.

Freeze it. I frequently freeze half a can of coconut milk and defrost as needed, it’s fine.Books read 2023 - 49/752

I second the fridge option - just fold the plastic wrapping over it, keeps for months
