How to store an opened pack of creamed coconut?

I used half a block of creamed coconut in a recipe, and don't have any immediate use for the rest. The original use by date was April next year. Could I just wrap it in clingfilm and keep it - in the cupboard? fridge? freezer?

  • Freeze it. I frequently freeze half a can of coconut milk and defrost as needed, it’s fine.

  • I second the fridge option - just fold the plastic wrapping over it, keeps for months

  • Thank you for your replies. I have it in the fridge at the moment so will keep it there.
