Hi I am getting mortgage from Halifax, completion date is 7/12 (Monday), Halifax sent the following email to my solicitor
“We are pleased to confirm the funds for the above mortgage application have been requested. The expected date is 4/12/20, “ Does this means that Halifax will transfer money tomorrow, I told my solicitor that I will exchange the contract once the money is in his account, solicitor is pushing me to transfer as they said that bank has confirmed the funds. |

I am completing tomorrow with Halifax. I have asked here when they release the funds, and I have been told that it happens the day before completion (in you case on Friday as you’re completing on Monday).
Mine should have been released today (I have exchanged as well today).3 -
Completed on mine in August and was with a broker, so got no e-mail personally, but the funds were in my solicitors account in time for exchange, so I would imagine that yours are there as of tomorrow. I think your solicitor requests it a few days before hand. I would go with what your solicitor recommends - they do this day in day out and if they say the money is coming then its coming1

Can also confirm this. My solicitor requested the money last week (on Thursday I believe) as it can take up to a week for the money to be cleared into the solicitor's account.Windofchange said:Completed on mine in August and was with a broker, so got no e-mail personally, but the funds were in my solicitors account in time for exchange, so I would imagine that yours are there as of tomorrow. Once a lender says the money is on route it’s on route. They don’t start the transfer process and then look for reasons to delay/retract. Last minute transfers of the funds are totally standard, don’t sweat it 👍🏻0

On completion day, what time roughly is the money sent over to the solicitor from the lender?
My solicitor still hasn't received the funds and completion day is today!0
