Recently took out a five year fix at a great rate 👍

Can you ballpark what a 'great' rate is, please?

    Researching!
    1.34% 👌 59% LTV
What provider is that with MFWannabe?

We are looking to arrange our remortgage in a few months time and will be looking to fix for 5 years. We have no intentions of moving from this property and we value the knowledge that our rate isn't going to change in those 5 years. We will pay a little more over the 2 years fixed rate but for us it is worth the extra.

Difficult one of course, but I would say that rates are certainly not falling lower. The only other thing that might change is your status (ie loan to value etc).

I remortgaged in early 2016 and guessed that the Brexit vote would go for leave, that there would be a drop of confidence in the short term, the pound would fall and interest rates would rise. So, I went for a five year fix. Of course I was right about all those things except for the very last one - the one that really mattered. :-)
