Sovereign Spotlight

For day two of our 12 days of Christmas, we're putting our competition prize under the spotlight. The 2017 Double Portrait Wedding Anniversary Gold Sovereign, released to mark the platinum wedding anniversary of Her Majesty The Queen and Prince Philip.

This sovereign is struck in 22 carat gold and features the very first double portrait – also known as ‘jugate’ or ‘conjoined’ – to have appeared on the gold sovereign.
