Thank you, first I have heard of this. Just put my claim in for 2 POA's0

I have not heard of this either so thanks for the alert - I am giving it a go ... A bit of a false start as I did not read the material on the MSE site .. I scanned looking for a link to the process and unfortunately the first link near the top of the article was the dutyship refund link. Much further down I found the right link (https://www.gov.uk/power-of-attorney-refund) for overcharged fees.
My parents have 4 LPA's between them, all dated from Jan 2017, so that gets them £180 back in about 12 weeks time.0 -
Another thank you for posting this ... hadn't heard of it, just put in my claim, took about 2 minutes (i happened to have all details to hand).0

Is there anywhere that allows you to get refunds before 2013?

my hue my husband and myself made Power's of Attorney in November 2017 and paid £100 each registration fees plus £82 each to the court of protection for each document. Can we claim anything back? I’m a bit confused about dates.0
-
You wouldn't have paid £100 in November 2017. If you did, it means you used a third party who added on their fees to do it, so there would be no refund.1

I have just found a receipt dated 08/05/2017 for £597 from a legal services company who dealt with the Powers of Attorney. Does this mean we can’t claim?0

There's nothing to claim. You paid for the PoAs plus the fees you agree to pay the company.0
