Halifax exchange and completion

Good afternoon all, after a year and a half battling to get on the property ladder, I am finally due to exchange and complete.
Exchange will happen tomorrow or on Thursday the latest, and completion has been agreed for this Friday.
My solicitor told me that they have requested the monies from Halifax already, but she told me that Halifax will only send the monies on the day of completion? I am asking as I will be working on that day from 15:00 and cannot take the day off, so ideally I would like to meet the vendor for the keys at 13:00 the latest, but I have been advised by my solicitor that it all depends on when they get the monies on completion day from Halifax.
Can anyone that has completed recently with Halifax advise?

@Lorenzo94 It's usually the working day prior to completion. For my personal Halifax remo in July, completion was on Friday and funds were transferred on Thursday (which is when you will be charged interest from). But in any case, I wouldn't count on being able to collect keys at 1300 on the day of completion and that's probably the message your solicitor is trying to convey as well. All the best, you're almost there!

Thank you very much for your quick reply. I still can't believe that this is happening (after three failed attempted purchases) so I really hope that things will go smoothly. My friend (the one I am buying with) is off on that day so he can collect the keys. I guess I just wanted to be there for the sake of it haha.1

My halifax mortgage came through the day before completion. However, the sellers solicitors were very slow at confirming to my solicitor that the transaction had gone through on their onward purchase. She didn't find out until 3:30pm and had assumed there was a delay. There wasn't, they just didn't respond to her asking about it. She was furious at how bad they were at communication (they had been pretty rubbish at responding during the whole process). I got the keys from the EA at 4pm. The sellers were still in the house until nearly 5pm.0
