I have a Burtons store card and it has been referred to Moorcroft debt collection. If Burtins has gone into administration, will I still need to pay this or would it be written off?

You may wish to read this article about 2 types of debt collectors:It sounds like Moorcroft are the latter type.
Moorcroft basically bulk buy or chase "bad debts" off finance companies and collect defaulted accounts on behalf of Scottish Power, BT, O2, United Utilities and others.
They buy the debt for a few pence in the pound and then chase the debtor for the full amount. This was if they get 20% of the people they chase to pay, they have doubled their money.
which would indicate that Burtons have sold on your debt to Moorcroft so you have no debt with Burtons/Acadia.I'd expect Moorcroft to still pursue for payment.

I tried to return some jeans instore in Topshop yesterday and they said their terms and conditions have changed and they would not refund me. They will exchange only. Very disappointing!0

I have just unearthed an old Arcadia share certificate issued before Philip Green took over with an unconditional offer but he didn't pay me for the shares.
Am I a creditor?
