I'm thinking about giving it a try, I usually apply fake tan myself (using fake bake at the mo) but fancied a treat for a change so just wondered if anyone can tell me how good they are (the booths that u just walk into and it sprays u all over in a few secs) Is the colour good? Does it go streaky? Does it last abit longer than self applied products?
Thanks peeps, Helen x

I did it once and it was great everywhere except for my hands and feet! After a day the colour on them was all patchy and they just looked dirty.0

I think they give quite a good colour, I wear plastic gloves on my hands then do them myself, and tbh usually just put up with the bad feet! I try and rub lots of barrier cream on but invariable they don't come out very well. Its about the ame price to get sprayed by a person (ina salon!) a little embarrassing but at least you can wear you strappy shoes and not have funny looking oompa loompa hands!0

i used one a few months ago before i went on holiday my dad came out like david dickenson and i just looked like i had been tangoed my mum too lol i just use the johnsons summer body stuff that works for me and you cant really make it go streaky too

I used one a couple of months ago. I naturally have very very pale skin, and the tan looked really good. The woman from the salon said to apply loads of barrier cream to my hands which i did and then rub them with the towel when you have finished. My hands were fine and as the day went on and it developed i rubbed them with a wipe if they looked a bit patchy.
My tip for using an automatic booth (not the one where someone spays you) is to do your back first as it is very cold, also to take a big breath as the mist is quite thick - also dont forget to bend your arms out so that you do the inner sides

last week local salon offer was 2 for £30 and u could have the second go any time u want or another person could use it. The girl was very good and explained everything and put loads of moisturiser on feet and hands. She sprayed while i was in the booth not as embarassing as i thought as she was so nice. After she gave me some wipes for hands and said to wait a bit until stuff dried. Gave me some free moisturiser and tanning stuff in case I needed more anywere.
She went over everywere twice I dont think you could do it yourself as good unless its much cheaper id pay for someone to do it. I m not one for paying for these thingsand usually go to the local college for hair cuts etc but they dont do this sort of thing.
Tip I used one of those body brushes £1.50 and some exfoliating cream in the shower before being tanned to really make sure no streaks and this seemed to work.
I was really pleased and looked as though id lost half a stone at least !0
