Hello Everyone , can anyone answer me the following question?
I recently changed jobs 2-3 months ago and on my latest wageslip from my new company
it shows how much I have been paid in "this period" which is all correct,
However it also shows a "Year to date" section, where everything is correct except for "Total Gross pay" "tax paid" and "Gross for tax",
they are far too high for just this employment , unless it is also calculated on money earnt from my old previous employer, can anyone say if this is correct?

It will show the amounts from your former employment included in the total as the earnings there are added to your current employment earnings in order for you to be paying the correct year to date tax.
Did your previous wageslip only have the figures from your current employment? If so, what was the tax code then and is it different now (including any code suggesting you were previously being paid on a Wk 1/M 1 basis)?1 -
If you gave them your p45 then year to date will show for all previous employment to date3
