Venue & caterers fallen out

Options
We’ve just been informed by our wedding venue that the caterers (that the venue recommended!) are no longer allowed on-site. They have given us no reasonable reason as to why, and are telling us that we have to use their new in-house caterers. We don’t want to lose our caterers as they are providing a lot more than just the food, but the venue is refusing to have them. We’ve already had to postpone the day from May ‘20 to May ‘21, and now we have to deal with this! Can anyone help us with we’re we stand!? The venue were paid in full, as per their contract, but I’m guessing if we cancel, then we’ll lose money. Any help appreciated.

On the contract, does it say you can only use recommend caterers? Are your caterers listed at the time?
