I was just going to my make Nigella Essential bread recipe and see my book is missing - think daughter may have borrowed it lol! Does anyone have the Nigella domestic goddess book and could take a pic of the recipe for me please? It is the essential white bread one with potato water in, hers is free form but I just pop it in a loaf tin. There is a picture of the bread on a right hand side page and recipe is on next page - you would think I would remember the whole recipe but unfortunately my brain is having problems with thinking about it haha!
I think it is
I think it is
500g Strong white bread flour
7g dry yeast
1 tbsp. salt
approx 300ml warm tap or potato water
1 tbsp. unsalted butter
I want to get a few loaves made and frozen for the coming month while I still have yeast and flour! 1

I use 500 flour to 300 liquid and it seems to work.
I may try using the potato water tomorrow, I'm intrigued.1 -

"A scant tablespoonful" (according to the recipe intro in the book)Apparently pasta water also works:"When asked by one follower what the chemical explanation of this could be, Nigella replied: "I think of it like a tang Zhong or water roux starter on the hoof." That went whoosh, right over my head...!!1 -
