Anyone have experience of Leeds building society for mortgage?

I’m currently in process with Leeds, had AIP, hard search and then survey done Thursday but heard nothing from them.

I have to pay for the survey so am surprised if they would do that before the underwriting? 

Is anyone in process with them or used them before? They haven’t asked me for any additional info to the 3 months pay slips, bank statements etc. I thought they’d underwrite to approve me before they’d survey.

I am currently in the process with Leeds too, just submitted my application (with all payslip and bank statement) last Friday (20 Nov). My broker told me yesterday my valuation has been booked for next Monday.

steveamaniac Sounds like the valuation was an AVM if it all happened on the same day. I've had a couple of cases with them recently and the app-offer was quite quick, about two weeks or so if I remember correctly. Having said that, they were both straightforward cases. It was easy to reach LBS on the phone as well.
